Bandaje Falls Trek Itinerary (2D 1N)

Bandaje Falls: A Hidden Gem of the Western Ghats Tucked away deep within the dense forests of Belthangady Taluk in Dakshina Kannada, Bandaje Falls cascades from a staggering height of 200 feet, rewarding trekkers with a breathtaking spectacle. Accessible only on foot, this offbeat trail winds through mist-laden grasslands, untouched stretches of the Western Ghats, and the constant chorus of wilderness. Part of the Ballarayanadurga Fort trek, this route is a paradise for seasoned trekkers, nature lovers, and photographers alike. The journey through the dramatic Charmadi Ghats offers as much thrill as the destination itself. Due to forest regulations, there are no permanent stays along the route. But that’s what makes the experience even more magical—camping under a sky full of stars, surrounded by raw nature. To access Bandaje Falls, trekkers must obtain permission from the Kalasa Range Office (Koppa Division). The trek demands physical endurance and adventurous spirit, but the surreal view of the waterfall merging into the Netravathi River, especially during sunset, makes every step worth it. Still unspoiled and rarely crowded, Bandaje Falls remains one of the Western Ghats’ best-kept secrets—a must on every adventurer’s bucket list. Hello Backpackers,Have you been Hampi-fied at least once in your life? Located on the banks of the Tungabadra River, Hampi is a hippie and backpacker's dream come true. This place has a lot of interesting things, such as boulder-filled hillocks, monuments, ruins, temples, relaxed cafes, art, shopping, trekking, etc. It is 340 kilometers away from Bangalore and is a fantastic weekend escape. The ethereal remains of Hampi transport you back in time and leave you in awe of how lovely this city must have been centuries ago. It is a completely different world. It served as the capital of Sri Krishnadevaraya's opulent Vijayanagara kingdom. Hampi was among the wealthiest cities in the world during its height. There is yet more to discover if you find this to be intriguing enough. In the Ramayana, Hampi too has mythological significance. According to legend, it is the Kishkinda kingdom of Sugreeva, Hanuman, and Vali. He is claimed to have been born at Anjanadri, a temple on a hillside. We will stay on the Hippie Island side, ascend a few boulder-filled hillocks, and take in the picturesque views from the summit, which includes the famous sunsets, while we wonder at the colorful, vintage environment of the Hampi.Highlights Anjanadri Hills (Sunrise)  Virupaksha Temple  Lotus Mohal  Elephant stables  Kadlekalu Ganesha Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple  Krishna Temple Surprise elementWhat more?Relaxed meals on the comfortable couches of cafes, lots of mingling, delicious cuisine, music... It is renowned for its ancient inscriptions and artwork as well as its ethereal rock formation. Additionally, some of the earliest evidence of human writing and expression are found in these petroglyphs. "A stone in between" is what Edakkal implies. And a huge boulder wedged between two larger boulders creates this cave-like rock shelter. It is thought to have existed for more than 8,000 years. You must hike up and climb steep steps to get to the Edakkal Caves Wayanad entrance. Ancient wall sculptures that show humans, animals, and other prehistoric figures can be found inside.  Edakkal Caves' story is shrouded in mystery. As per the legends, the caves were formed because of Luv and Kush – sons of Lord Rama. It’s said that their arrows split a large rock into two, thus forming this narrow passage. The earliest Edakkal Caves carvings are believed to be from the neolithic era (the Stone Age), as early as 6000 BCE. The latest carvings are from around 1000 BCE. These carvings were discovered only recently, in the 19th century. Karapuzha Dam Nestled in the lush hills of Wayanad, Kerala, Karapuzha Dam is a beautiful blend of nature’s splendor and human craftsmanship.
