Kurinji Trek from Bangalore | Weekend Trek to Kurinjal Peak – Copravasi

Arrive at Kalasa / Mullodi base village. Freshen up, enjoy a hot South Indian breakfast.

Forest department entry formalities and permit check. Your certified Copravasi guide briefs the group on trail etiquette and wildlife awareness.

Trek begins. The initial stretch winds through coffee and cardamom plantations before entering the dense Shola forest zone. The air is cool, earthy, and rich with birdsong.

 Cross the first forest stream. Ideal spot for a short rest and photos. The trail starts gaining elevation here — watch for roots and slippery patches.

Enter the open grassland belt. Views begin to open up. The gradient steepens in this section — take it slow and steady.

Summit — Kurinjal Peak (1,253 m). Take in sweeping 360° views of the Kudremukh range, surrounding valleys, and on clear days, distant peaks disappearing into clouds. Celebrate, click photos, breathe it in.

Packed lunch at the summit or descent halt point.

Begin descent via the same trail. Descent is faster but demands careful footing on steep sections.

Back at base village. Rest, refresh, hot tea.
